Listed below are problems, which may be encountered whilst grinding. Possible corrections are used advisedly here. It is practically impossible to establish hard and fast rules for turning out perfect grinding. There are many variables, which must be correctly attuned and an apparently irrelevant one may prove to be cause of trouble experienced. Also, the same cause may produce a varied number of grinding problems.

LOW CENTRE - HIGH END ON WORK (THROUGHFEED)
Work
guides are deflected toward grinding wheel.
Set guides parallel to wheel face. If centre still low, with
only a few pieces to grind, increase angle of regulating
wheel housing by small amounts (½0) until work right. Do not
dress wheel or change angle of truing attachment.
However, decreasing truing angle and retruing wheel without
changing housing angle can attain same result.
If a large number of pieces are to be ground, and it will be
necessary to true wheel at times, then increase angle of
regulating wheel truing attachment by small amounts (1/8°)
until work is right. Redress wheel. Do not change angle of
housing.
