The company Workblades & Formers is based in central Birmingham, in a perfect position at the heart of the industrial West Midlands, easily accessible by road and rail.

It was formed in 1999 by three engineers who between them have 70 years’ experience within the Centreless grinding industry, supplying a first rate service for tooling and repairs. The company has grown and now employs an expert team, each with their own highly sought after skill set. After purchasing new and remanufactured machinery (specific to this specialised area of engineering). It now resides in a 4,500 sq ft unit, with future expansion expected.

Typical Machine Capacity: Surface grinding up to 1200mm, Precision profile grinding, Milling, both horizontal and vertical up to 800mm x 700mm, Turning up to 600ømm, Horizontal Band Saw – 400mm Capacity, Vertical Band Saw, Tig Welding, Brazing and Shot Blasting.

W&F’s trade base was traditionally the UK, but the Company is proud that 45% of its business is international.

In addition to its traditional service areas, the company’s portfolio also includes: Servicing of machines (mainly Centreless), Spindle refurbishment, The supply of Abrasives (including super abrasives), Dormer (grinding machines) parts and consumables, Wickman OPG spares and servicing.
