Coolant Usage

Metal working fluids should be used in the right proportion, since the strength of resin, shellac and rubber bonded grinding wheels can be reduced by Metal working fluids. The concentration and alkalinity of Metal working fluids used should be regularly checked and the pH value should be maintained between 8.9 to 9.3.

Never immerse a stationary wheel in Metal working fluids for a long time. This will produce an out-of-balance condition in the wheel.

Always shut off the supply of Metal working fluids before the end of any wet grinding operation and allow the wheel to rotate until the Metal working fluids is completely drained.
